Dinosaur Contest Winners
Our first annual halloween costume contest featuring the Holod’s T-Rexs has come to a close! It was a tight race, but in the end the most popular dino was of course the one paying tribute to our hometown heroes the Fightin Philadelphia Phillies! We just want to thank everyone some much for participating with either your submissions or vote. This first year we weren’t sure how many people were going to get involved. Naturally we were astounded when we found out that 19 dinos entered, 554 of you casted votes and over 5,000 visited the contest page! What an amazing first year, we hope this is the start of a fun, yearly community event.. or maybe we do it more than once a year. What will your dinos look like in a bikini?!
Announcing the Winners!
Before we get into the winners, we thought since this is the first year that there should be more than just one winner.
Starting in 4th place is anyone that submitted a dino or voted for a dino! We’re offering 25% Off all house plants in our gift shop for anyone who got involved in the contest. Without you it wouldn’t have happened. So Thank you!
We’ve also added prizes for 2nd and 3rd place! In 3rd place with 58 votes we have a dino from Germany Hill that took time off of a busy day passing out brews to take this amazing photo. Thank you Nina Rodebaugh for the submission. Please head over to Holod’s to claim your $25 Gift Certificate!
In 2nd place with a whopping 151 votes is Audrey Too, paying tribute to the alien man eating flower from the film Little Shop of Horrors. Audrey is dressed in a classic headless pumpkin man throw with matching retro sunglasses. This stylish look put together by his owner Debra Bowman has earned Audrey a $50 Holod’s Gift Certificate.
Narrowly edging out the competition with 161 votes and taking the 1st place prize is Rexy! Going all in on the Phanatic lifestyle, Rexy is ready for the next World Series game where he’ll be roaring for the Philadelphia Phillies to take down the team from Texas and if the team needs a DH, Rexy is ready to swing for the fences.
